What are the benefits of EAPA?

  • Professional Development
  • Networking
  • Professional Resources
  • Discounts

These benefits and discounts add up to great value for every individual EA professional! But equally valuable is what our collective memberships in EAPA contribute to the profession that we believe in so deeply. Any strong profession requires a strong professional association. Your investment in EAPA membership is an investment in strengthening the EA profession’s collective identity. That’s important because a strong EA profession benefits all of us.

Employee Assistance Programs exist to…

…help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their job performance, health, and well-being. In turn, the Houston Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) exists to support EAP professionals in their role as behavioral health specialists assisting employees and their families.

Houston EAPA is one of the most active chapters in the United States with over 100 members from corporations, behavioral health organizations and independent practitioners. Our meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month and we welcome new-comers, members, people looking to network, and those who are just curious.

We begin each meeting with a breakfast and networking, and offer CEU’s and PDH’s for our educational presentations. Houston EAPA casts a wide net to ensure our Chapter meetings have benefits for all our members. For the EAP practitioner, the presentations provide information on the most current treatment modalities and effectiveness. For treatment providers, we offer opportunities to showcase their programs and inform members of their services. And for independent practitioners we offer networking, education and an opportunity to interact with colleagues.

Please come and see what Houston EAPA is all about.
