David has worked in the Mental Health field over 30 years. His work experience includes acute psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, private practice and he has been in the Employee Assistance field over 25 years and currently works in Houston Texas for Phillips 66 as an internal Workplace EAP Coordinator. He has helped transform Phillips 66 EAP from being “a nice optional benefit” to an essential component of a high performing organization. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Psychology from McNeese State University in 1982 and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling-Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in 1986. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Employee Assistance Professional and has certification as an Integrated Disability Management Professional.  David is an avid outdoorsman and an amateur photographer.

Vice President

Jose is a licensed professional counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist. He joined the MD Anderson Employee Assistance Program Team in May 2015 and became a Certified Employee Assistance Professional during his time at the MD Anderson. He has managed and develop programs to provide services and support for the institution in time  of challenges. He is EMDR trained and is in leadership positions through the Diversity Council/ Employee Council. He is the behavioral consultant for the  Threat Assessment Team as part of the  Behavioral Intervention Team. He has been practicing since 2009 after completing his master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. He has provided counseling in schools, community settings and private practice settings. Jose has extensive experience with families, couples and children. His expertise includes dealing with crisis intervention and threat assessment. Jose has worked in Children’s Protective Services, Houston Galveston Institute and Deer Park ISD. Jose has provided consultation to graduate students and colleagues in professional settings.  Jose is bilingual in Spanish. In addition to providing assistance to employees with work place stress, he assists with transition stress, cultural and personal challenges, along with crisis in family settings.

Vice-President of Chapter Development

Lyndsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She has experience working with culturally- and age-diverse populations facing a broad range of emotional, physical, social, and spiritual challenges. Through her profession, she is committed to empowering individuals to find healing, growth, and success within their own lives. Lyndsey is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, followed by a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Whoop! Lyndsey’s clinical experience has allowed her to work within a variety of settings, including inpatient residential treatment facilities, nursing homes, private practices, and employee assistance programs. Lyndsey currently works as the Houston District EAP Consultant with USPS – New Directions Behavioral Health. In native Texan fashion, Lyndsey collects cowboy boots and enjoys country western dancing!

Amber began her career in the healthcare industry in 1999. Her work experience includes marketing and business development positions within the senior care industry, hospice industry, and behavioral health industry. She currently fulfills her role as community liaison for PaRC-Memorial Hermann where she has been employed since 2014. Amber’s passion for “helping” has allowed her to build relationships with key mental health professionals and families to offer support and treatment resources for those in need. Amber is married to her husband Clint, together they have 5 children. In her free time she enjoys baking, crafting and loves to be a hostess for her family and friends during the holidays
